We went to see the rat this month. We spent a mortgage payment in buying the rat's stuff and the kids learned that if they throw enough temper tantrums we, as their parents, give in to the whiny demands because it's the happiest place on Earth dammit and we didn't want to hear whining in the happiest freaking place on earth. *deep breath*
However, Jas and I had our revenge.

Other than that we had a great time in Florida! I was able to see all my family and wish my Grandmother a Happy 80th Birthday! We went to the beach and swam ourselves silly in the pool and Jas and I had a night to ourselves and all is well with the world.
We are back home for the time being until we head up to Vt to visit the grandparents and walk a mile or two in the woods for further decompression.
Today however, we celebrate the birth of a princess. Three years ago today, I laughed her out (dude epidurals rock) and she skidded across the table into a very disgruntled doctor's arms.

I live 40 minutes from The Rat That Ate Orlando. You have my deepest sympathies. Oddly, I have never taken my own children there... I've let my childless-but-newly-married younger sister take them.
Because our mother? Didn't raise any fools. Heh.
